Huawei Mate XTs Official: Tri-Fold Flagship Returns With Kirin 9020, Upgraded Cameras & New Colors
Huawei has officially unveiled the Mate XTs, its second-generation tri-fold smartphone, bringing subtle but meaningful updates to last year’s model. While the core design remains unchanged, buyers can now distinguish the new version thanks to two fresh colorways — purple and white, joining the existing black and red options.
Massive Display With Flexible Modes
The Mate XTs sports a 10.2-inch LTPO OLED display with 3K resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate, delivering sharp visuals and smooth scrolling. Its 16:11 aspect ratio is wide enough to run up to three apps side-by-side, making multitasking effortless. With 1,800 nits peak brightness and full stylus support, it’s built for productivity and creativity alike.
When folded once, the phone converts to a 7.9-inch dual-screen mode. Fully folded, it becomes a compact 6.4-inch display, ideal for one-handed use. Despite the foldable engineering, Huawei has kept it slim — 3.8mm when fully open and 12.8mm when closed, while weighing only 298g.
Camera Upgrades for Versatile Shooting
Huawei has boosted the ultrawide sensor to 40MP (13mm), delivering sharper and wider shots. This sits alongside a 50MP main camera (24mm) with a variable aperture f/1.4–f/4.0, and a 12MP periscope zoom lens (125mm). The setup promises detailed captures across wide, standard, and telephoto ranges.
Performance Jump With Kirin 9020
Under the hood, the new Kirin 9020 chipset replaces last year’s Kirin 9010. Already seen in the Huawei Pura 80 Pro+ and 80 Ultra, the chip claims 36% faster performance than its predecessor. All configurations come with a generous 16GB RAM, paired with storage options up to 1TB.
Battery & Charging
The Mate XTs carries a 5,600mAh battery, backed by 66W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 7.5W reverse wireless support. It runs on HarmonyOS 5.1, ensuring smooth software performance and Huawei’s ecosystem features.
Pricing & Availability
Huawei is offering the Mate XTs in four colors — black, red, purple, and white. Pricing in China is as follows:
