Apple Watch Series 11 Debuts with Hypertension Alerts, 5G Support, and Longer Battery Life

Apple officially introduced the Apple Watch Series 11 at its highly anticipated “Awe Dropping” event in Cupertino, California. Packed with enhanced health tracking, improved connectivity, and stronger durability, the Series 11 is set to be one of the biggest updates in the smartwatch’s decade-long evolution.

Key Highlights of Apple Watch Series 11

The Series 11 builds on Apple’s commitment to health and fitness features with new tools like:

Hypertension Notifications: The watch now monitors long-term blood pressure patterns and alerts users if consistent high readings are detected. Paired with the Health app, users can log cuff-based readings for medical confirmation.

Sleep Score Analysis: Sleep sessions are graded on a scale of 1–100, with detailed insights into interruptions, bedtime consistency, and overall rest quality.

Alongside the Series 11, Apple also launched the Apple Watch Ultra 3, Apple Watch SE 3, the all-new iPhone 17 lineup, iPhone Air, and AirPods Pro 3.

WatchOS 26: Smarter and Sleeker

Both the Series 11 and Ultra 3 ship with WatchOS 26, bringing:

A refreshed liquid glass user interface

Live text translation for instant communication

A redesigned Notes app

Workout Buddy, Apple’s AI-driven coach that motivates users with real-time performance feedback

Pricing and Availability

Preorders for the Apple Watch Series 11 are already open, with in-store sales beginning on September 19. Pricing is as follows:

42mm Aluminum Wi-Fi model: $399 (£369 / AU$679)

42mm Aluminum LTE model: $499

42mm Titanium LTE model: $699

Design and Durability

The Series 11 maintains the slim, edge-to-edge display of the Series 10 but now offers stronger, scratch-resistant glass on its aluminum edition—ideal for daily wear and active lifestyles.

Connectivity and Battery Boost

For the first time, Apple has integrated 5G connectivity into the LTE version of the Series 11, promising faster speeds with more efficient energy use. Battery performance has also been upgraded:

Up to 24 hours on a single charge, compared to the Series 10’s 18-hour benchmark.

In practice, Apple’s conservative estimates may extend to 30 hours of real-world use.
